Hello!
First, I apologize if I have placed this topic in the wrong area.
I looked through the pages of general support and the mod section, and did not find any topic which appeared to address this, and since I canot find any indication in the Forum Admin CP of how to do this, I am going out on a limb and assuming that this qualifies as a mod.
We have installed WWF 8 for the use of our school, and I am interested to find a way to constrain the dimensions of user's signatures.
We are seeing some of our students insert very large images into their signatures, and we want to prevent this and constrain signatures to a specific set of maximum dimensions.
I've noticed an odd display issue:
When a student has inserted a large image in their sig, and a forum user is viewing the page with IE 7 or Firefox 2, the signature space is indeed constrained to a certain height, and the large image is scrollable within that frame.
However, if a forum user is browsing with IE 6, it displayes the entire image, resulting in some egregious user's signatures filling half the displayed page.
We would like to be able to apply a standard; something along the lines of "signature banners may not be any larger than 200x400 pixels" or whatever. We would like to be able to enforce this constraint beyond simply "saying so".
So, is there a way that we can constrain the relative (or absolute) physical dimensions of forum user's signatures, regardless of what they have inserted into them?
