An ASP.NET version is planned and development on it will begin later this year.

At the moment though, ASP forums still seem to be much more popular as the open source code in ASP, coupled with the fact that ASP is simpler for a non-programmer to modify, still seems to be making ASP much more popular than ASP.NET, which is now well into it's second version.

Although Microsoft have stopped making new versions of ASP, it will still be around for a long time to come.

Something I read on the MS site was that classic asp has been here for 60% of it's supported life - which means there's still years of support available.

Earier this month, MS also announced that they would never retire a product that was still in use by corporations - including web hosting corporations.

Lead me not into temptation... I know the short cut, follow me.

There WILL be an ASP.NET version at some point, but from user feedback most users still prefer ASP as ASP.NET is to complicated to learn and difficult to modify the code.

It seems that at the moment only mainly large corporate users want to use ASP.NET, which means that if an ASP.NET version was made it would only be used by mainly corporate users as the ASP version would still be more popular with the average user.

As the ASP version of Web Wiz Forums took 5 years of development to build an ASP.NET forum to the same level would take a minimum of 1 years full-time development work, so please don't expect an ASP.NET version for at least a year.
