hello,i just downloaded a forum there,but the browser i am on does not support cookies,is there anyway i can get past the administrator page or can i have it so my browser doesnt support cookies?

Your browser must support cookies. To enable cookies:
Internet Explorer 5 and Higher
- Click Tools, and then click Internet Options.
- Click the Security tab.
- Click the Internet zone.
- Select a security level other than High.
- -or-Click Custom Level, scroll to the Cookies section, and then click Enable for both cookie options.
Internet Explorer 4x
- Click View, and then click Internet Options.
- Click the Advanced tab.
- Scroll to the Security section.
- Under Cookies, click Always accept cookies.
Netscape Communicator 4.0
- On your Task Bar, click Edit, then
- Preferences, then
- Click on Advanced.
- Set your options in the box labeled "Cookies".
Other browsers
- To see if your browser supports cookies, and for detailed instructions about how to enable this feature, see the online Help for your browser.
- If you see a message to notify you that a Web site is trying to send you a cookie when you try to sign in, you should choose to continue or you will not be able to sign in.
- If your browser does not support cookies, you can upgrade to a newer browser, such as Internet Explorer or Netscape Communicator.

indeed,it is just that the server i am is controlled by an administrator,would there be any way around this problem if my browser didnt support the cookies?

nahh..you require cookies to login. If you can't login as admin you can't enter the admin section. I suggest editing the database instead, adding and changing the options there.

I had a look at the database but was unable to see where i was meant to change the admin login options there,especially refering to cookies,please advise!

You can't change the cookie settings. It's just the way how this forum works. You need cookies
What i suggested is if you need to change other settings, such as upload size, email settings and such..you can edit the database instead of using the admin section.
