    Posted: 04 May 2020 at 9:48pm
Sometimes, when just copying a URL, then pasting it into a post, we find it doesn't work. On checking we find that %20 has been added to the end of the URL.

This certainly happens on IE11, and the latest Firefox which I normally use. Others say it hasn't happened using Edge.

I understand %20 is code for space, but copying as carefully as poosible to avoid adding a space at the end doesn't solve the problem.

Any suggestions?
This is an example. Though the %20 doesn't normally appear in the post.
Brian.

The copy and pasting of a URL is controlled by the web browser built in Rich Test Editing controls leaving no control over this behaviour.

The only thing can suggest is try make sure there is not a space on the end of the URL when you copy it.

Belated thanks, it doesn't happen all the time, and I had checked that no space (that I could see) was copied.

It could be a plugin in Firefox that is causing the issue.

Yes, I'll remove the addons and try again.
The other thing with Firfox is when you want to copy and paste a URL and use the "copy link location" command, when pasted all the link characters are there but the last 4 or 5 are not a part of the link. Again a FF anomily
