Good morning,
I have been very happily hosted here for ages and have a quite old version of the reseller hosting plan.
I have just created a new site, that if it becomes popular could be quite CPU intensive
http://www.iansmithcse.co.uk/WLC/ExCalc.aspx
It is a very different weight loss calculator, it tries to do a basic but substantially accurate simulation of the body (eating, exercising, existing), showing weight loss or gain as a side effect of this simulation.
Testing at home shows that my pc can do around 30 of these simulations per second, (just wrapping a loop around the call to the simulation).
Obviously I would need a lot of visitors to be doing anything like this level of processing and on a dedicated server this will probably not be a problem for a long time but on a shared hosting plan?
At the moment I am loathe to upgrade as it might turn out to be like a lot of my ideas, one that I think is great but no-one else does.
One visitor per hour and the problem never exists

Do you monitor servers in such a way that you can easily say "sorry your taking up too much resource for what you are paying", so I can just wait for your email or do I need to be actively monitoring the situation.
Kind regards
Ian
