I made my own DLL in VB, returning the value of it is my question, can I simply to response.write in the DLL, or can someone tell me how to pass a variable back?

That depends on the com. If you named the obejct e.g. obj in your asp it could be something like
myvar = obj.Param1
or
myvar obj.var.value

It all depends on the object, how it has been programmed.

Yes you can on the referances (project > referances) there is a 'microsoft active server pages object libary' and a few others tick them and response.write will work...

hehe, if anyones interested in what im doing it turns a passed number from digit form to spoken form, for example if 345123 was passed it would return 'three hundred and fourty five thousand one hundred and twenty three'.  Pretty useless but interesting to make!  Works from minus ten billion to ten billion and allows for commas in numbers and decimal places!

only use I can think of it for is to make a hit counter different to the rest!
