I keep coming up with this message

[Microsoft][ODBC Driver Manager] Data source name not found and no default driver specified

can someone help

You haven't said what version you are using or how you are trying to connect to the database.

But this error usually suggests that you have not speified a database driver or the DSN is worng.

yes I thought that from what I have read in FAQ and the read me file but i created a dsn and  follow the instructions and I get this full message when I load the default .asp page

Microsoft OLE DB Provider for ODBC Drivers error '80004005'

[Microsoft][ODBC Driver Manager] Data source name not found and no default driver specified

/journal_inc.asp, line 98

 and when I try to load the admin.html page I gert cant find page 404

any ideas

Im sorry this is for the WebWizjournal or blog

I thought I would get this going and then work on the forum

hope you can help

Right I see this is a bout the journal as you have posted in the wrong forum.

Judging by the error the DNS name is probally wrong.

Try using the DSN-less connection that it is designed for as DSN-less connections are much faster than a DSN connection and use the JET 4 driver.
