Hello everybody!

About few weeks ago my ISP detedate my domain "seba.2city.net". Yesterday I decide to configure my DNS server.

My DNS server resolves for me DNS adresses - but i can't ping myself.

When I try to ping my "seba.2city.net" i get "Unknown host". I can only ping  seba.seba.2city.net (from my computer where DNS server is).

When I run nslookup:

nslookup

> set type=ALL

> seba.2city.net yahoo.com

Server:  yahoo.com
Address:  66.218.71.198

DNS request timed out.
    timeout was 2 seconds.
DNS request timed out.
    timeout was 2 seconds.
*** Request to yahoo.com timed-out

I don't have any idea what can be wrong. Please, help me.

Ok. Done. DNS works properly(propably). I want to ask for something. How many times DNS must have to register in all DNS servers??

DNS propagation usually takes from 12~48 hours. Some servers do it twice a day. Some once every other day, and some once a day. Frustrating, isn't it?

yes it is frustrating. My DNS propagation takse about 24 hours and now everything it's ok.
