Can anyone tell me the difference between a .com, .net and .info domain types. I have several .coms and wonder if seach engines treat any of the domain types any differently.

I run a travel guide and site under a .net domain. Should I move it to a .info?

Thanks for any help you can offer.

No, search engines don't care about that. There are variety in them as they carry specific meanings :

.com - communiation/company .net - network .org - organisation .info - information .ws - website .biz - business

like that

I agree... except for the ws...

since ws stands for Western Somoa, a country top level domain

All of the top level domains (TLD) are described at:

http://www.icann.org/tlds/

.com = unrestricted, but intended for commercial entities
.net = unrestricted, but intended for network providers
.org = unrestricted, but intended for other organizations
.info = unrestricted general information
