I have the following forum setup (7.8)

Servers
  Server1
  Server2
  Server3
General
  General1
  General2
  Geberal3

I posted to Server1: "839643 Applied" (Topic Title)

Trying to Post to Server2: "839643 Applied" I get a Double Posting Error.

I would have thought it was possible to have the same topics in different forums?

Is there anyway around this?

you would have to change the query that checks to see if the title is being used.

i think it is like that because -boRg- has made it only search for the title not to check to see if its in that forum only as you would need another query to get the forum ID..

and then in the query check to see if the topic title exists and also to see if the one that exists has the same forum ID as the forum you are in/ trying to post to.

The double posting error checks the post content, to get around this either use the feature that allows the one post to be shown on all forums, or make each post slightly different, ie. put in an extra space.
