I need to format the contents of a textarea as an unordered list, but I do not want to use the IE fomatting (like this forum) and I don't want to require the user to enter the code. 

I am requireing them to put a carriage return after each item if that helps. 

What is the best way to do this?

If you want to display it as a UL then you can just do a replace of vbCrlf with something like </ul><ul> or however you want to format it.
