Hi everyone,

It seems my host no longer supports the old CDONTS E-mail componet and this was their e-mail to me,

CDONTs has been depreciated in Windows Server 2003 and has been replaced with CDO.

If you require to use mail scripts you will need to use Microsofts New standard (CDO).

How would I go about using this?

As of now, I get this error message,

Server Error in Forum Application
An error has occured while sending an email.
Please check that the CDONTS email component is installed on the server.
Please contact the forum administrator.

Support Error Code:- err_Access_create_CDONTS_object
File Name:- functions_send_mail.asp

Error details:-
Server object
006~ASP 0177~Server.CreateObject Failed~800401f3

You need to go to the email configuration page in the admin area of your forum and change it to use CDOSYS instead.

You may need to get the SMTP server details from your web host if you can't use 'localhost' as your SMTP server for CDOSYS
