Email Notify apparently not notifying

On a forum I have set up, I enabled, within my profile, the email notification for topics I have posted to. I instructed others to do the same.

But... after we have posted and then someone else posts to the same thread, no email is sent.

What gives?

You haven't said what version you are using or what email component you are using!!!

There is a known bug with 7.7 using components other than CDONTS and a number of posts contain the fix for this bug if you search the forum.

I'm using 7.6.  Your program works perfectly.  Unfortunately I don't.  I discovered my error.
