email_notify_configure, need to send password/user

in this file i need the option also to send .
SMTP username and password.

can some one helo me out on how to do this please?

as the smtp is on a nother server, and that server needs mail user and password.

like:
            .MailServerUserName = "user"
            .MailServerPassWord = "password"
            .Send "mail.dormain.dk"

i need this option in the file.
            .MailServerUserName = "user"
            .MailServerPassWord = "password"

and i guss also i need to make it in database, ??

Version 8 will have these options in the online admin area, but in version 7.x you will need to edit a file.

Open the file functions/functions_send_mail.asp and edit the following lines found near the top of the file with your SMTP servers username and passoword:-

strMailServerUser = ""     'SMTP server username
strMailServerPass = ""    'SMTP server password

I do NOT find those two vars to update...and I'm using 7.9
 
Might they be in any other file?

These are part of the latest 7.97 version, so you would need to upgrade.

Although I do hope to have version 8 out soon which will have an upgrade tool for it and you will then be able to setup SMTP server authentication from the online admin area.
