"Email this Private Message to myself" problem

I use this "Email this Private Message to myself" function quite a bit from the PM interface. Today, I tried it from the "Sent" tab. I believe that instead of emailing the message to me, like I expected, it emailed it to the person I originally sent the PM to. I'm guessing this because I didn't get the email. Also, if I hover over the "Add buddy" button, the link suggests that it wants to add me as a buddy, whereas the same button on the inbox wants to add the recipient as a buddy. I'm using version 9.73.
