Hello,

I was using the old version of the forum and the email features worked fine with CDONTS.

Now I've installed the latest version I just can't get it to work. I've set all the email features the same as the old setup with no joy.

My host says that any scripts will only send mail if there is a valid "from" address ib the script to stop spamming.

Does anyone have any idea what the fix might be?

Hows it not working? Any errors? we need more details then "it doesnt work".

Many hosts these days only allow scripts to send email if the from address is a POP email address you have setup with your host.

If this is the case setup a POP email address with your host and then place that in as the forums email address in the admin area.

Hello,

I am having the same problem! I can only get the email to work if I set my profile email to be me@forumhost.com If I change my email address to me@someotherhost.com , when I try to send an email, I get "page cannot be found".

I have the forum email address already set up to be theforum@forumhost.com (real email account on host). But that does not make a difference.

Email only seems to work if the senders email is the same domain as the forum.

Any other suggestions?
