_Yes_ I have read the installation documentation, and the FAQs, etc...

That being said, the forum is set up and running fine, in that it's there... but when I try to login as Administrator, it won't letmein.

I get the following error:
Server Error in Forum Application
An error has occured while writing to the database.
Please contact the forum administrator.

Support Error Code:- err_Access_loginUser()_update_USR_Code
File Name:- functions_login.asp

Error details:-
Microsoft JET Database Engine
Cannot update. Database or object is read-only.

I saw the post about making sure the folder had the correct permissions, so I contacted my ISP with this info. They swear up and down that the folder has the correct permissions.

Does anyone have any other information on this error?

Thank you in advance for any help!!!!!!!!!

Make sure that the Access database (wwForum.mdb) does not have the 'Read-Only' attribute checked before FTP'ing the file to the web server.

To do this right click the file, select properties, and make sure the 'Raed-Only' attribute is not checked.

If it is unchecked and you still get this problem, then you need to get back onto your web host as the permissions on the server are not correct and you need to have Read, Write, and Modify, permissions enabled on the folder the database resides within.
