I made a few minor changes to the Access database. I added a moderator, changed a few user ratings but not through the user-friendly adminstration account management : I directly edited the access database.

I uploaded it and now my forum is empty with an error message:
http://www.csplive.com

Microsoft JET Database Engine error '80004005'
Record is deleted.
/forum/display_forum_topics.asp, line 598

Line 598 is:
  'Query the database
  rsTopic.Open strSQL, strCon

Do you know what I could do?

Its impossible to tell what you have done wrong without knowing exactly what you changed, so I dont think its going to be so easy.

On the other hand, I see you are using version 6.11. I can think of no better reason to upgrade to the current version 7.5 considering..

ok, Thanks for the help, God_Struth.

I have to say that my experience with this forum has been disappointing. It's a great forum when it works, and people here are always ready to help, but the forum can get messed up very easily. And it's almost impossible to troubleshoot. Only one solution: start from scratch again.

At least, now I learned my lesson: backup, backup, backup every single time you touch something. Even when you think you make a very minor change.

Ok, i have to go to sleep now....
