whats better using

objConn.Execute "UPDATE UniqueIPs SET Visits = Visits + 1 WHERE IP='" & ip & "'"

 

or

strSQL = "SELECT * From ip where ip like '" & IPADDRESS & "'"

 

and which is faster ...

btw im using it for multiple connections. ..

Can't compare. They're different.

One updates data and one selects data.

if you often use select

you can append index on db

often use update and insert ,reduce index
