Yes. I don't use the current mail feature of the forums simply because people do not have a way to opt in and out of mailings.
That would be a nice feature. Plus, we could have a seperate sign-up page for signing up for a mailing list that also creates an account for them on the forum at the same time.
It would integrate the mailing list and the forum nicely.
The only problem we have right now is our web host doesn't allow bulk mailings (even if it is opt-in). But we are going to get our own server soon, so that won't be an issue in the future.
