I just installed the forum onto my computer which is running IIS. I went through the installation instructions but I cant get it to work. When I try to login using administrator letmein and click login I get the following message.

Error Type:
Microsoft JET Database Engine (0x80040E09)
Cannot update. Database or object is read-only.
/forum/register.asp, line 872

I don't know how to setup any other way. Can you give me instructions, thanks.

i think this has been convered in the forum before,
 
the database is not in a folder with the correct permssions, it has read permissions but doesn't have write permissions. you need to give the directory the database is in read/write permissions.

I already done that and it still dosen't work.

You also need to make sure the database is not set to read only when right clicking on it.

I try that, there is no security tab on properties dialog on the database folder. I have Windows XP PRO.

There is, you need to follow the note at the bottom of the page:-
