& "<a href=""" & strForumPath & "forum_posts.asp?TID=" & adoRec("Topic_ID") & """ class=""smLink""  title=" & strTopicSubject & ">" _

Title in the above response.write seems to work only half. The first word is displayed, but the rest is simply cut off. So from the thread topic tiles ''today r9 was published'' only today is displayed when hovering over the link.

<%response.write strTopicSubject%> does display the whole topic, so the string is correct.

Why does this happen?

it needs to be in quotes else it will stop at the first space

so should be
 title = "" & strTopicSubject & ""

Thanks for replying.

Putting extra quites in there, result in the title being displayed as "&strTopicSubject&". I've tried that in the beginning, but the string is simply seen as text if you do that.

Any other suggestions?
Thanks.
