I too hosted forums in 1asphost.com, and I had to change it from websamba.com .  I wrote an e-mail to asphost support and they replied:

ADODB.Stream is disabled due to security reasons.  Disabling this function would prevent other people from uploading files to other members accounts.  Therefore, it is done for your security and other members security.


Well can't the security code feature be disabled? It might need some significant change in the code I guess I see no other option as there are already some posts

The file could be re-written to remove the security code, but this could take sometime.

Free hosts have always been bad at supporting things like forums as they do disable allot of things within asp and come up with excuses like you have posted.

Free hosts only give free accounts as a taster and therefore disable many parts of ASP in the hope that you will upgrade to a paid hosting account to get the full features.

The best advice that I can give you is avoid free web hosting and find a decent web host as many charge as little as a few dollars a month.

If you are free can you just guide me what changes to be be done to remove the security code? or can that be just done an optional while registration?   I guess this will help many people who are hosting on 1asphost   I just like Web Wiz Forums.
/me is just a student, so can't afford even a decent web host right now :

I'm a bit busy at the moment so not sure if I will have time as I'm starting my final year of Uni next week.

/me is a student as well.

Maybe you ought to do as I do and work while a student or just have 2 beers a month less, then you could affrod a web host
