Is there any way of rewriting my website path so that instead of displaying default.asp?id=i1 it displays a more user friendly path. On apache there is mod_rewrite but I was wondering is there was any equivalent for ASP?

Pick one:

http://www.isapirewrite.com/
http://www.qwerksoft.com/products/iisrewrite/
http://www.jdhodges.com/log/1309
http://www.smalig.com/url_rewrite-en.htm

Just google for IIS URL Re-Write and you'll find a lot.

Its not possible to use the asp.net URL rewriting with classic asp. At least after days if not weeks of searching and trying i never found anything that worked on a shared hosting server.
