I guess the topic title says it.
Seaches of that kind do not tell very much about the usage of forum
applications since they do not count the appearance of single forums
but the number of forum pages that have been indexed. A forum or a
forum portal with 1 million members and 100 million posts will show up
more often in the search results than 1000 forums with 10000 posts
alltogether.
This site here probably adds 10 thousands of search results to Google although it is only existing once.

My first post of this topic listed three popular ASP forum systems, the second post listed four PHP forum systems. I have used seven of them all. I think that WWF is one of the best, well support double-byte characters such as chinese, futher more, it's free.
