HACKED BY TURKISH HACKER ENO7

One needs only google the above and you will see all the WWF forums that have been hacked into including mine at this point.

While I was posting on my forum this guy hacked into it locked me and all my moderators outt and began to go crazy. I don't have a recent backup, so I've lost literally two months worth of postings. I used all the security measures and still, oh well!

This is NOT a vulnerability in Web Wiz Forums!!

I've just been through 30 to 40 random sites that this hacker has hit and they are all running Windows web servers, but only 1 was running Web Wiz Forums.

To prevent this hacker it's just a case of simple security measures and making sure that you do not have write permissions enabled on your site.

To run web wiz forums Access version you need to have write permissions on the directory containing the Access database. This directory should be outside of your web site in a place on the server not accessible through a web browser. For more on this see the documentation that comes with Web Wiz Forums.

I have another problem, that I can't seem to rectify, perhaps someone can help!

I run a Christian forum, and at the moment I now have multiple categories within the forum. Here is a link; what can I do to delete them?

As you can se, when you click on a particular forum, it opens the category within that forum,. BUT, underneath, there are listed all the other forums. I do I get rid of that?
