Hello! Smile

A while back I inherited a Web Wiz Forum with a site I was rebuilding.  I have never done anything with the Forum although it is in daily use.

It is Version 7.7.  I notice there is a new version out now.

How do I make sure that I don't loose any information or posts that are already on the Forum if I download the new version?

Does anyone have any tips on how to upgrade?

Thanks so much for any help! Big smile

Backup your database then overwrite the ASP files with that from the latest version.

I've managed to find a back up of all the forum files from when I took the site over and have uploaded them and it's all working as it was before I started fiddling!

Do you have any idea what I did wrong?

Sounds like you may have overridden the db as well.
Also, check the installation instructions about setting up the connection strings.

Lead me not into temptation... I know the short cut, follow me.
