    Posted: 18 October 2005 at 4:48pm
Hi;

I am trying to integrate RTE to my site but i couldn't get rid off an javascript error, so toolbar doesn't show up in my site.

I get an error like "Object Expected" in the line <body bgcolor="#181818" onLoad="initialiseWebWizRTE()">

So I can't see toolbar in my form. How can i solve this problem.

Thanks...

Hi again;

I solved that problem and i integrated the rte to my form completely but i want to do some improvements for the image insert module.

But i don't have enough knowledge about js so i will appriciate if you can help.

I want the image insert form to clear the fields width, height, horizantal, vertial and border when a new image previewed, so the new image can be shown with its original size.

And the other thing that if possible, i want to enable the ok button if and only if a valid image is loaded. I mean if image couldn't be loaded or the url is not valid the ok button musn't be enabled because otherwise it inserts an unavaliable img (which shows a cross) to the textarea.

If someone can give the js codes or explain how to do, i will be happy ;)

Thanks...

Can i also learn that, is there a way to disable html codes at the begining while loading the editor with the same while submitting the form.

I mean if you write any html code other than the editor creates then it recognizes them and gives no functionality to them and they are seemed as text but if you edit the same content second time it recognizes this html codes and makes the necessary function since it is a layer so i want the editor to recognize the html codes (other then its created) at the begining and disable them once more time.

I didn't see a function does this.

It is very important for the security, otherwise someone can integrate some asp or js code to my page and can easily hack my site.

Thanks...

and lastly, i think while making link for email the subject property doesn't work, no subject parameter passes to the area.

Thanks...

I think i am talking to myself here Smile anyway i will learn js thakns to you Tongue

Now I just wanted to tell the solution that i found for the html codes, maybe somebody else uses it to.

When submiiting the form i replace &lt; and &gt; with [ and ] so there is no html problem. But they are seen with [ and ] in the page of course too.

But I still need help with image and email parts.

Thanks...

make sure you have installed the RTE correctly if you are getting a error it means tat the page is not generating the required things before the intialise is executed.

Thanks for the answer but there is no error. The problem is that the subject option in the make email link does not work, same as here.

You can try it here, while answering create an email link and enter something to the subject box and then press ok, you can see that the subject box has no functionality.

And the other issue in image inserting part needs some js modification but i don't know much to do that.

Thanks...

Hi,

Yeah I am having the exact same problem.  So what did you do to resolve the issue with the toolbar not displaying?  I have tried everything I could think of...

I am testing this product on a standalone coldfusion MX7 server running IIS.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
