I upgraded my site to 7.96 and kept the CAPTCHA setting enabled. I have noticed that users are now having to login to the site repeatedly even though they are not clearing their cookies. I too, also have this issue. With 7.95 and previous versions, once I logged into the site it remembered me until I deleted the cookie or logged out. Now I can log in surf around and close my browser. Once I come back, I have to log back in.  Is this related to the addition of the CAPTCHA images in the login and registration page? If so, if i disable CAPTCHA, will I have the same issue with returning to the site.  Also, My users have also noticed they can no longer store their username and passwords in their browser for quicker access. I tested this and confirmed that the option is no longer available. I assume this is also CAPTCHA related.

Thanks in advance.

The CAPTCHA images don't have anything to do with the setting and reading back in cookies.

The form fields for logging in have also not been changed and autocomplete is not disabled for these fields.

Ummm... this approach to non-OCR-able text images has been around a lot longer than CAPTCHA.

But I'm wondering... is the WWF using something that can take text images, combine them into one image, and then distort or obfuscate the singular image?  If not, why bother with an acronym by a group that is essential trying to take credit for something that has been in popular use for a long time?
