first of all happy new year and thanks to all the people involved in web wiz forums!!!!
 
I could not find an answer here in the forum or in the documantation...
 
Is it possible to set a limit for posts?
 
We have some users who writes "books" in only one post.

There isn't such a thing built into the web wiz forums at present, but you could always edit the post_message.asp file and do a character count on the message and if it is to large send the user to a page saying so.

Wouldn't it be better to do it like the signature box, and have a javascript?  They would probably lose the whole post if you just redirected them somewhere (unless you stored the post in a session or something).

But there is no problem to crack this JavaScript protection.
You just need to save the HTML and remove the JavaScript code
and then post whatever you want with your local HTML.

If you want full protection you need to protect with js and post_message.asp both, like the registration form of the current version (8).

Yeah, that too... but my point is that they should have something telling them how much they can post. 
 
I know it would be extreemly aggravating writing up a huge post, trying to post it, and losing the whole thing. Wink
