Okies,  so I have a js popup window (can it with the booing and hissing, its not for a public site, and its required... Tongue Yeah, i hate popups too)

Anyhoo. I open another .asp page in the new window, and post from the parent to the child. Problem is, despite having title tags in the child .asp page, I always get the title as "http://inserthostnamehere - What's in the title tags - yourbrowsername"
I tried opening a page that has <title>Blah - Blah</title>, and what i get in the popup is host - Blah - browser

I get this in both ff and ie. I don't have any problem with showing titles properly in non-popups.

Is this something that popups usually do and i've just been too stupid to notic until now? Or is there something else going on and/or i'm screwed?

i think browsers added it to stop scams, so you know the address of the page is where it claims to be

though people are starting to do eg www.paypal.com.site.com

i dont think you can acctually get rid of the site address at the start
