Hi -borg-

Firstly thanks for the great forum - I'm using v6.34.

Secondly how can I improve the speed and security of it - having done so yourself to create v7?

Are there any obvious improvements I could make to it?

Why don't you upgrade to v7 which will be out soon? (RC1 is out today.)

V7 is a vast improvement both in forum engine a security and there are mods to upgrade the DB from earlier versions.

Just a suggestion..

Thanks for the suggestion - problem is I've spent a lot of time modifying v6.34. This means that i'd have to manualy port the database and spend more time modifying the new version.

I'm quite happy with v6.34 so I'd just like to improve on it's speed and security.

Being new to ASP I was hoping -borg- would give me some pointers.

The only way to improve speed and security is to completly re-write the forum engine, which is what has been done for version 7. So the simple anwsers is that unless you want to re-write each page then the simplese way is to upgrade to version 7 when the full version becomes available.
