Hi

Im having a problem with windows authentication and was wondering if anyone could help. I have searched the forum but cant find what im looking for.

I keep getting this error

Server Error in Forum Application
An error has occured while reading Authenticated User's, username from Windows Server.
Please check that are using a Windows Authenticated Login System and you are NOT browsing this site anonymously.
Please contact the forum administrator.

Support Error Code:- err_SQLServer_windowsAuthentication()_get_AUTH_USER
File Name:- functions_windows_authentication.asp

Error details:-


I have checked that everything is as it should be. Im probably being thick, it is only tuesday! any help appreciated.

EDIT:  Sorry I was being dim, folder was set to annoymous browsing doh!! now is there anyway that it will automatically log users in with out having to enter there username and password again (our users seem to hate doint that!!)

If your users login using windows authentication into the forum when windows authentication is enabled they will automatically be logged into the forum as that user.
