REQ: Calendar Multiple Events

This is a little dif. from events that span days. We need the ability to select a number of days and set them as practice sessions etc. A way to put evets on the calendar without having to post a message is what we are really talking about. My thought was:

create a seperate table all together
edit calendar.asp to read info from this table just as it does form topics and author tables.
Allow the existing calendar.asp code to display the event on the calendar.
Write/Mod a form that allows uses to added information directly to the new table.

Seems that the form could be made to allow for events that span days, repeat  or pick and choose easy enough. The form could be java, asp or whatever. Click a link and up pops a seperate window were the user can enter information that gets written to the new table directly.

Sounds good but I lack the skills to make it happen. It would be a real hack job if I try it.
