These types of error can happen if the servers database drivers are corrupted or the database is corrupted.

This error can happen if:-

1. The version of Access you are using is not compatible with your server
2. The Access database is corrupted
3. The database is already opened in another program
4. There are issues on the web server.

i am using  a script like this for an asp.net app and it`s working

<script runat="server">

    'Get the database server Map Path - This is where you change the database name and path
    Function DB_Path()

       if instr(Context.Request.ServerVariables("PATH_TRANSLATED"),"Links") then
          DB_Path = System.Web.HttpContext.Current.Server.MapPath("/xx/xxx.mdb")
       else
          DB_Path = System.Web.HttpContext.Current.Server.MapPath("/xx/xxx.mdb")
       end if
    End Function
</script>

do you thing i can use something like this for the forum app too?

ASP and ASP.NET are two completely different things and have nothing to do with each other.

The connection to the database is already done in a simular way but in ASP.

You should contact your web host about this error and see if they can look into it. If you are using an Access 97 database then you need to change it to Access 2000 or higher.
