Update to the new version and see.
It's painless, and should be done for security reasons as well as bug fixs/features.

The forum is written in ASP, if you need to send 1000's of emails you should look for a solution outside of ASP as ASP is not robust enough to handle large amounts of email. Executable server software with a dedicated mail server would be a better option.

Meybe one option is to use BCC but is not perfect just fast. Other option is to use timeout and meybe buffer. I supose ASP and other script is very robust if is written optimal.
