First let me say how much I like this Captcha solution compared to others I've reviewed.  I hope I do not have to find an alternative solution.  Here's my problem:

I get users that reportedly cannot register on my site due to the Captcha always failing.  If I stop and start my website (IIS 6 on W2K3 SBS), the issue is resolved.  Any ideas for why this is happening?

Also, Firefox users are having difficulty registering due to failing the Captcha, however, they can then use IE to successfully pass the Captcha.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The CAPTCHA uses session variables to store the displayed result.

If cookies are not working on the users browser, or if your server is not working correctly and can not store session variables then it would course the problems you mention.

Having to stop and restart IIS to get it to work sounds like there is a problem on the server with ASP sessions, make sure that your server is fully patched and up to date, and you are not running some rouge code that is crashing session variable on your site.

If you are using Windows 2003 make sure you have at least SP1 installed as previous versions of Windows 2003 did have issues with ASP sessions.

Looks like I had the sessions configured incorrectly.  Here is a good article that helped me resolve it.  Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.

The server is Windows 2003 SP2 with the latest patch available. IIS also uses Application pool with the number of workers set to 1. The max memory is set to be large enough. Please advise how we can config the IIS to support your application
