Error Messages on Posting.

We have just installed ver. 8.05.  Mostly, it seems to be running okay, but:

After each post, instead of being taken back to the forum nearly all of the users are getting this message:

Server Error in Forum Application
An error has occured while sending an email.
Please contact the forum administrator.

Support Error Code:- err_SQLServer_send_mail_footer
File Name:- functions_send_mail.asp

Error details:-
Microsoft VBScript runtime error
Type mismatch

As I say, these posts get posted, but are followed by the message.

However, when one attempts to post a reply or quote with a graphic uploaded from the user's local computer, the post fails completely and this message is returned:

Microsoft VBScript runtime error '800a0046'

Permission denied

/new_post.asp, line 353

What to do?

That worked for the second part of the question.  Permissions have been set as you suggested, and we are now able to upload graphics.

However, and as far as I can tell, everyone on the forum is having this problem, whenever one posts a reply, or a PM, they get this error message:

It DOES post the reply, or the PM, but you always get the error message and you have to find your way back to the forum from there.

The error is happening when the forum attempts to sendout email notifications and suggests that your email settings in the admin area are incorrect or you have a corrupted file.

Reupload the files again and check that your email settings in the admin area are correct.
