What is the mximum amount of characters in a the Username supposed to be? The Access and SQL db's have a 30 character field yet most of the form fields only seem to accept 15 chars. :confused:

I've got a user who can't reset his password due to his imported username being 16 chars. I'll get him to choose a new ID and rename it, but would like to know for future reference.

It's 15 characters and the db field excepts more incase any of the characters as HTML encoded which would increase the character length.

Hey Bruce,

Are there any plans to change it so you allow more than 15 characters - at least in the login screen (not in the registration screen).  I have the same issue as MrMellie in that I imported 6,000+ members from Snitz Forums and have long user names.
 
Of course it is easy to make this change to allow this but I want to reduce the number of mods I am making for future upgrades.
 
Just so you know, transfered my forums 2 weeks ago and love it. It's much faster that our previous forums - I was experiencing many bandwidth problems. Keep up the good work!
