Hi,

 
I was wondering if any one could help me. I was wondering if there was a way of checking for a database connection. ie say if the database server was down instead of seeing errors appear all over your site they could get redirected to a page saying that the database server is down.

Use an Error handler. There are a few libraries on aspin.com or so, that essentially display custom messages based on the error.
