RTE not working at all

I'm trying to integrate the RTE into a web page to see if it is something that our company would want to use on our multiple web sites.  I've downloaded the files and followed the instructions in the 'ReadMe' file completely and to the letter, yet I don't see anything on my web page that indicates the presence of the RTE in any way except there is extra code when I look at 'view source' for the page.

Since all of the other people on this forum are at least seeing something in their implementations, it is obvious that I have done something wrong so the instructions that I followed were woefully inadequate.  Yes, the files are on an ASP server and all of that.  I have the 'onload' command in the body tag and I have tried to put the appropriate code in various places since the place that the readme file said to put it did not work.  Yes, I've put in the appropriate values for the form name and the name of the text area that it was supposed to replace had it worked. 

I had a lot of hope for this application and was very disappointed when it did not work in any way.  What have I done wrong?

Unfortunately, this one doesn't seem to fit into the "most problems" category!   All of the 'name' and 'id' attributes are there and set properly.

I've put the RTE code inside of the table that makes up the form and I've tried it at the top of the ASP page, but still nothing.  Is it the location of the code?

Also, I have another company's editor on the same page.  Since that one worked right away, could the 2 apps be conflicting??
