    Posted: 01 August 2007 at 3:48pm

Hi,

I’ve setup our forum to be fully moderated so no posts are visible until approved by the administrator or moderators.

Is there a way that the administrator and or moderators of the forum can be emailed when a new post has been submitted?

As you can imagine if you are getting quite a few post a day in a number of forums it could be quite problematic for the administrator/moderators to find the posts to approve them.

Thanks in advance

Wayne.

If you clink on the 'Moderator Tools' drop down and select 'Moderated Topics' it will display (a bit like Active Topics) a list of all the topics in the forum that have posts that need approving in them.

The easiest thing to do is bookmark that page and then regularly check it to see if any posts or topics need to be approved.

pardon me, but I can't find "make moderated topic" icon or option :)

how can I make a moderated topic ?

(maybe this problem is related my IIS issue, because sometimes I can't see some icons etc.. )

It's called post approval in the permission system. If check the 'Post Approval' permissions box for groups in forums then when they post there post will need approving before it goes live.

Admins and moderators can click on to 'show' or 'hide' a post or topic.

No, it's done using the permission system on a per forum level, using either Group or Member permissions.
