How to adjust a image in HTML

I like to make a HTML file but I am also want to fit an image in the coding of HTML but when I was write the path of the Image in HTML coding its ok but When I am open this file the image is not display I don't know how to give the right path for adjust the an image. Even I have visited a number of website design company for the HTML tutorial but I am not fully satisfied Please help me.

you have done something like this:
<img src='MyPicture.gif'>
and it's not working ...
is that it ?
1-Make sure the file MyPicture.gif is on the server
2-make sure the path is the good one
  Ex:<img src='./images/MyPicture.gif'>

Hoping it'll help ... but i'm not quite sure of your question ...
