Upgrading from 8.01 to 9.08, none of the subscribers and the post and forum existing will be lost?

Is it sure?

It's a forum with more than 500 subscribers and 236,460 posts in 317 Discussions in 15 Forums... I'd hate to loose everything.

And if it's possible to keep everything, which is the procedure??

Thanks... sorry for my english....

We just moved to new host AND did upgrade from 8.06 to 9.0x and it went like clockwork. VERY smoothly.
We made a backup of the SQL database, imported the database to the new SQL server, ran the database update tool that comes with WWF9 and then copied the forum files. Actually, the host did most of that, but that's the procedure I used to set things up on my HOME server for testing.
Be sure to make a backup of the database FIRST!!!! Then you can always use it to fall back.
Run the update tool supplied with the forum files. That makes the necessary changes in the database file to support the new version. Then copy in the forum files.
Now, I also made a backup of the OLD forum files! So if I had issues, I could simply "put it all back". AND, if you made any changes, mods or tweaks to the old version, you'll have to put those back into the new version. Otherwise, it literally only takes minutes.
We had over 700 members at the time, thousands of posts. Not a single thing was lost and the process took only about 40 minutes.

No kidding. you can't get it ALL for free.
He's got to get something back for his time.................. he probably got tired of stone soup and bread and water for supper.
So there's a free version, and a paid/licensed version to keep people honest, since typically, many won't be on their own.
It's just the PM and upload and calendar, otherwise it's fully-functional with ads/branding.
It's still cheap software - go buy a copy of Windows (LEGALLY) or MS Office (LEGALLY)
Now there's the rip-off.  At least here you get good friendly support. There you get, well.........

Alternatively, you might consider changing hosts to web wiz and get the Unbranded and PM enabled forum software within the deal, which is what we did, and Web Wiz were excellent at helping with the transfer Thumbs%20Up
