Hi all,

I've downloaded the SQL version and set up a basic forum at http://br.msofficegurus.com/default.asp

The user name and password are still the same (Adminsitrator and letmein). The problem i keep getting is that if I try to change the name and password, it says I do not have the permissions and "seems" to log me off. However, if I click "Back" on my browser, I go back to where I was and can create a forum.

Also, I tried to create a new user, but it does the same.

Any ideas of what is going on here?

I noticed today that this problem only happens if I am using a subdomain like above. If I place it directly under my main domain, this error does not occur.

Does anyone know why this is the case? If so, how do I sort it out?

If your host creates a sub domain as a virtual directory instead of being a full website in it's own right then Web Wiz Forums can have issues setting the cookie path for your forum.

To fix this edit in notepad the file includes/setup_options_inc.asp and change the cookie path to set the cookie at the sites root.
