Hi,

I have a problem on my forum whereby I’ve enabled the setting to pass the user id from my website into the forum to automatically create an account and log you on. This has been working happily for a couple of years, however recently I’m getting reports that the following error is displayed when user attempt to access the forum:

Server Error in Forum Application
An error has occured while writing to the database.
Please contact the forum administrator.

Support Error Code:- err_SQLServer_existingMemberAPI()_update_pass
File Name:- functions_member_API.asp

Error details:-
ADODB.Recordset
Item cannot be found in the collection corresponding to the requested name or ordinal.

To qualify a few points:

1)                  I am able to pass through successfully using both my admin and moderator accounts.

2)                  If you bypass the web site and input the forum URL directly it works, so must be attached to the pass through.

Apologies, if this is an obvious fix. It was a couple of years ago when I set this up and haven’t used it much recently.

Allot of work has been done on this API over the last year. I would suggest upgrading to a newer version and see if that resolves the issue.
