Hello,

My web hosting service wants me to update our password to include a capital letter.  How do I do this without ruining the link to our forum?

I have locked the forum.  I was told to contact web wiz to learn how to do this properly.

We must update our password in order to select more disk space.
This is what the screen from says on the web hosting service:

MS SQL 2000 Setup Instructions: Using the SQL 2000 Enterprise Manager:

1 Start - Programs - Microsoft SQL Server
2 Launch Enterprise Manager
3 Right click on SQL Server Group - select New SQL Server Registration
4 Enter the IP address (above)
5 Enter the User Name (above) and Password (above)

You can use an ODBC connection to make applications like Microsoft Access or Visual Interdev directly connects to your SQL database. However, if you want total control over all aspects of your database, it is recommended that you use SQL Enterprise Manager or a Transact-SQL Client application such as SQL Query Analyzer. You can use all features of SQL 2000 except for the following:

- DTS Packages
- Database Replication
- Mail Services
- XML Support
- Distributed Transactions
- Database Maintenance Plans
- Web Assistant
- Multiple Instances

English Query
The Microsoft SQL Server 6.5 and SQL 7 Enterprise Managers will not support connections to an MSSQL Server 2000 Enterprise Manager. Referencing Named-Pipe connections from within your scripts will cause errors. TCP/IP is the only connection protocol supported. The SQL Server is a different machine from the one on which your Web site resides. It is the client's responsibility to populate the SQL database or to import the database content from any oladb compliant database.

Could someone please tell me what to do.

Thank you sincerely,

If you need to change your database connection details for SQL Server you need to edit the file database/database_connection.asp in notepad were you can change the connection details including the database password.
