Web Wiz are proud to announce the release of Web Wiz Forums version 9.51. These latest release sees a number of new features and performance enhancements added to Web Wiz Forums.

New advanced server side paging for SQL Server 2005/2008 and mySQL database versions massively increases performance in the latest release allowing Web Wiz Forums to easily cope with millions of posts.

Other new features in Web Wiz Forums version 9.51 includes:-
  • Improved performance for SQL Server 2005/2008 and mySQL Databases
  • Dynamically created SEO friendly Meta Tags for Title, Description, and Keywords
  • New Editor Tool for Inserting YouTube and Adobe Flash Movies with Preview Window
  • New Configurable Logging Tools to record Moderator and Member Actions and Error Messages
  • Image and File uploading increased maximum size to 30MB
  • myODBC 5.1 Driver support for mySQL database versions
  • DoS Protection from SQL Injection Viruses
  • Admin and Moderator Email Notification of Topic/Posts awaiting approval
  • Improvements to the Member File Manager for Image and File Uploading
  • Increased the Number of Private Messages a Member can receive to 10,000

Please note:-

There are now two different SQL Server versions. If you are using SQL Server 2000 then make sure that you download the SQL Server 2000 version otherwise you will an error message.

I assume hosting through you we need the SQL 2005+ version?

cool thing.. thanks to all people working for this good forum ..
,, unfourtunatly im usin 8.06 yet ... just waiting for new and best one .. but i think 9 -th free version is not as good as 8 free version .!!, i see some disadvantages and limited things on new versions like PM and Calender .. or im wrong ?

There may be limitations on the latest version as regards Private Messages and the Calendar. A full comparison can be found here

However the updated safety angle of preventing your forum from being comprimised might be worth you considering investing in the paid for version if some of the limitations put you off. This kind of software is no different to our operating systems or security software as such, and we should view the security of our forums in the same manner Thumbs Up

Sorry if you already talked about this but I don't know all the vocabulary yet for forum features so I didn't know if Web Wiz 9.51 offered this feature: Threaded replies to a single post.
