Batch add members?

I'm using the SQL version of WWF 7.01.

I have a membership database from our old forum that is based on MS Access.  The user names and passwords are stored as plain text in the Access database.

I would like to batch-transfer the entire membership from the old Access database to our new WWF SQL database so our users can easily switch to the new forum.  At the very least, I need to transfer the user names and passwords to the new database.  Since the user names and passwords are "obfuscated" in the WWF database, how do I effect this transfer?  Is there a handy stored procedure or ASP script?  Anyone else accomplished this task?

I too would like to bulk add users.  I have a database with lots of usernames and passwords but structure doesn't really matter.

I'm definitely OK with scripting out this process, but could anyone help me with understanding the "obfuscating" (is that a word) of the usercodes, salt, and password values?  I guess that's where I'm hung-up right now.  I can't manually type in the Access DB the usernames and whatnot because of the unique values.  I can't obviously copy the unique values due to key and index violations either, so any help WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED.

Look at the file funcions/function_hash1way.asp it's very well commented so it should explain everything about how the encryption is done... it's much simpler than what it seems.

Basicly something like this is all it takes to encrypt the password with that function:

strPassword = Trim(strPassword)
strSalt = getSalt(Len(strPassword))
strPassword = HashEncode(strPassword & strSalt)
