Any chance you may want to put together a rule file for the IIS_REWRITE isapi component? I would love to have that implemented.

We are presently working on support for ISAPI_Rewrite 3, with an .htaccess rules file and modifications to version 9.56 to allow pages that are indexed by search engines to be rewritten in an SEO friendly way.

Also looking at seeing if can add support for the IIS 7 Rewrite Module through a web.config file, but more testing will need to be done on that. If not then if you have access to the IIS 7 server with the IIS 7 Rewrite Module installed you should be able to import directly the new ISAPI_Rewrite 3 .htaccess file that will come with version 9.56.

This will be under going testing in the next few days and will be a part of 9.56 which should be released in the next few weeks.

The new ISAPI_Rewrite URL Rewriting is presently being tested on this forum.

It's also being tested on a couple of other very busy forums that have over 200 active users at all times and so far it is looking very promising with no-one reporting any errors or 404 pages.

The new version 9.56 that will support ISAPI_Rewrite should be available next week, although as an .htaccess file can course issues for servers with IIS Password installed as it also uses .htaccess files it will more likely need to have the .htaccess file released as a separate download.

The rollout of this maybe longer than hopped as had a few people reporting back 404 errors when posting.

It seems to be only around 2% of users affected, but at present most affected users are not very PC literate so it is hard finding out information about their setup to find why they are getting 404 page errors.
